They are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. - Manage revenue recognition processes in compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Monitor and analyze project costs and progress for percentage of completion accounting.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and operations, to gather necessary data and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of internal controls and accounting processes.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant standards.
- Support audits and examinations by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge and experience in revenue recognition principles and percentage of completion accounting.
- Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with NetSuite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
